Such a little lady!

...and she's definitely all girl. Ed says it's because I'm 'genderizing' her (if that's even the proper word) with the toys I chose. I say by golly!, it's the 21st century, and all children should have the opportunity to play- shop for groceries, cook, clean, and do laundry, not just the little girls! Needless to say, I had sooo much fun in the toy store picking out new toys for her. (Most of her old toys were 'baby' toys, she's too big for those now, it was time for an upgrade.) If you haven't been to the toy store in a while, you need to go and check out all the cool things they have these days! Toys R Us actually has a full aisle dedicated to The Home Depot. Kids toys that mimic the adult ones. And the play kitchen toys they have...if I didn't know any better, I'd think some of them were real.

Bella and I have had a blast playing with her new toys, they keep us occupied for hours. It seems as though we purchased them just in time considering the fact that we're supposed to be getting dumped on with a fierce winter storm that will drop 15 cm of snow tonite/tomorrow (WHHAATTT???) and we (read, I) will NOT want to be going outside in 60km winds.

But before cooking, one must get all dolled up in fancy new shoes to go grocery shopping! ;)
(Ok, so these photos were taken on different days throughout the week. I've mixed them up to make the story/blog post flow.)

She loves her fancy Barbie sandals given to her by a family friend. She walks around the house in them almost everyday.

Her new grocery 'buggy' as she calls it. Complete with her baby in the seat who goes along for the ride.

Around and around and around...

All finished with the groceries, now it's off to her new custom kitchen/cleaning centre. She spends hours and hours here cooking, baking, stirring, making, pouring, washing, drying, ironing....and there's so many sounds, and it's in spanish, too!

Bella already has a famous chocolate chip cookie. Tadaaa!

Teddy loves it!

On a bit of a more serious note, Bella had a severe allergic reaction (well, I thought it was pretty serious), to fish last week. To Spearhead Trout to be more specific. An immediate and pretty bad red-hivey rash around her mouth/lips and nose after she took a few bites. So, we are the proud new owners of Epi-pens and we'll be heading off to an allergist in the months to come. Until then, no more fish for her which is obviously a necessity, but a total bummer because she loooves fish. Will keep you updated.
