Some of the funniest material comes from Ysabella since she has started talking. What's even funnier, is trying to understand what she is saying. One of the best examples of this happened this past week at the dinner table. Out of nowhere, Ysabella said "F**k!". Ed and I almost choked on our dinner. But there it was, clear as day, and she kept repeating it again and again. We looked at each other out of the corner of our eye while continuing to eat, very careful of our response/reaction to her, listening to her say it again and again. Then I realized, what she was actually saying: "Fork!". PHEW! Typical of Ed and I to think the worst, no? I know we sometimes forget there's a child in the room and we may say a bad word or two in front of her, but that word? I should hope not! I guess we have to work on her 'r' sound a bit more.
Here's a video that was taken this past weekend. Bella knows many words for 'bug'. In spanish the word for bug is 'bicho'. At first she kept saying bicho! bicho! Then she said 'spider', which in retrospect, is so easy and clear to hear, but for some reason, we just weren't understanding her at the beginning of the video.
Bella shows both her compassionate side and her violent side in a matter of about 10 seconds. (Ed, by the way accepts and takes full responsibility for teaching her the word 'kill'.) She goes from wanting to kill it with her green block, to wanting to be really nice to it and feed it....
For your enjoyment.
