Vancouver-Day 1.

Tom & Denise live about 5 min from the ferry terminal, so we were lucky to be able to just walk on & off the boat. We had a good part of the afternoon to explore, so our tourguides (hey, there it is Tom, your second career!!) took us around the city before heading home to their place for a lovely seafood bar-b-q with all the trimmings.

First stop: Granville Island. Ed and Bella in the market. They have some of the best food booths that I've ever seen in this place!

Second stop: Stanley Park. They've cleaned up so much of the debris already, but there's still lots of fallen trees from this Spring's two big storms that they had. Here's the roots of one of them...it doesn't do justice to just how big (and old) the tree really was.

And then it was off to Tom and Denise's abode for dinner.
This is the beautiful view from their backyard. How'd ya like to wake up to that view every morning? Not bad at all! I have just one question: Who do you suppose has more grey hair? Ed or Tom??? giggle giggle. (Better grey hair than no hair at all!)
