Mum's Big Helper

It seems as though we have come through a bit of a tough phase with Ysabella. For the last few weeks she was constantly being defiant and argumentative. Everything was a huge battle with lots of tantrums. It was so tiring. However, it seems as though we have have finally had a breakthrough! For the past week or so, life has been happy and pleasant again, and Bella has been such a pleasure to be around. She's been showing off her little creative mind by talking and telling stories all the time. It just goes to show you that it's true what a friend of mine once told me. "Consistency is key, and you'll get through most 'bad' phases. Because that's all it is, a phase. Be patient and persistent."

The other day, Ysabella was my helper with chores. Lately, she's been so eager to please. I am loving every moment of it because I am aware that this stage won't last forever. She's also been so much fun, not to mention so funny lately.

Here is she is mopping the floor for me. And yes, this is our little Ysabella wearing big girl underwear! I'm officially calling her pee-pee toilet-trained (YAAAYY!). However, she still refuses to poop on the toilet (so far). Not outright verbally refusing, but she still clenches her little butt cheeks and holds it until she's in a diaper. Given her recent history, I'm A-okay with that, and well aware that this part may take a little bit longer.
