The Day Has Come...

The (2nd most) dreaded day has come. Ysabella had her first full day with Letecia today...and alas, she survived (as did Ed & I)! We dropped her off at 715am with some tears (on Ysa's part, not mine...but I was close). And we picked her up at 3pm to a few tears as well. Letecia said she did much better today, a little bit of crying off and on, but that she ate well, took a 25 min nap in the morning and a 2 hour!! nap after lunch. We could see that Bella was much more comfortable in Letecia's arms when we picked her up, and even though she was crying a little bit, she was super happy and smiley for the remainder of the day. Phew. I hardly slept last night I was so worried.

I took the first picture as soon as she heard us and saw us walking in the door. She had just woke up from her nap, and was a bit disheveled me thinks...crying, and her hair had fallen out of the elastic bands during naptime. I think this picture is hilarious, even though Ysabella is crying. I had to take it quickly because she was making a beeline right for me. Gaby (at the back, right) looks shocked, isn't sure what's going on and wonders what all the commotion is about. Molly front right, mid-blink, looked a bit off today, and is wondering why I'm taking a picture of a crying baby. And Henry, well, he's just playing solo with his toy and hiding behind his big sister Molly.About 30 seconds after the previous picture the crying has already almost stopped. And she's not even minding staying in Letecia's arms.
Trying out a new hairdo, elastics instead of barrettes. Ed says he doesn't like it. He thinks it makes his baby girl look "too old...like a toddler". I had to break it to him that technically, in a week's time, she WILL BE a toddler. She certainly isn't an infant anymore, that's for sure!
All smiles as soon as we got home.
Our little 'Firestarter'. This made us laugh sooo hard.
