Rocket Man

A peaceful moment yesterday afternoon:

Getting closer to nabbing a clear pic of that ear to ear smile!

And, thanks goes to my Auntie Cathy (who coincidentally is doing some work on our Family Tree), because she may have found one source of Alejandro's cleft chin. While going through some very old family memorabilia, she came across this postcard of my Great Grandfather Jacob (this is my father's mother's father...understand?). He fought in WWI in the Polish Calvary against Germany. Apparently, in the old days, a postcard was nothing more than a personal photograph with some writing on the back. Then it was addressed, stamped and mailed. This postcard was addressed to (who we believe) is Jacob's father Martin (my Great, Great Grandfather!) in 1917. If you click on the picture and save it, you can enlarge the detail, and although grainy, you can see that he, too, had a cleft chin! Genetics...fascinating, isn't it? (Thanks Auntie!)

(Addendum: Nevermind, I tried doing what I wrote above, but the image is too distorted/choppy/grainy to see the details of the chin. But trust me, the bum chin is there!)

And finally, here's Alejandro's video debut on the blog. Consider it a little 'Hello, how do you do?', especially for those of you who haven't met him yet. I couldn't possibly include everybody's name, but we are thinking of you all!
