It's moments like these.

If only every single day of parenthood could go this smooth and be this wonderful. This is why we do it, folks. For moments like these with our kids. Because you know, otherwise, we'd throw them out with the trash. ;)

Caution: This could make your heart melt. (At least it did mine.) Wednesday was a big day for Alex, too.

Apparently the third time was a charm for Ysabella. Her third game can be considered a success....even though it almost didn't happen. You see, as the 4 of us were walking to the field on Wednesday evening (and might I add that it was fianlly a beautiful, warm and sunny evening!), Bella decided to practice her running. She ran fast. Then she fell...HARD. You see, she tripped over the tree roots of some big trees that are growing through the sidewalk cement. She scraped both her knees pretty good. They bled. She cried. Ed couldn't believe it.

Yet somehow, someway, we distracted her and continued on to the game.

After a bit of crying and some TLC from her mommy ("and NO!, Coach Ed doesn't have any bandaids LADY!! How do I know this? Because I'm Coach Ed's wife, LADY!") Bella braved it out and went on the field to play. And she actually laughed and had fun!! She even kicked the ball. Woohoo!

One of my all-time favourite photos. It just really makes me laugh.
Perhaps because I think this pose alone would make Ed really proud.

That's my daughter kicking the ball! (So what if it's during skills practice!) :)

She shoots, she scores! (...and yep! Still skills practice!) Drama queen.

Ed and his gaggle of kids. (Bella is #10)

Bella realizes that her friend Ryley is on the other team. She is SO excited!

And there she goes, playing soccer.
(Yes, it was a big day for us indeed.)

Oh yeah baby, there she goes! Sneak attack!
Well, okay, maybe it wasn't that elaborate of a plan, but she got posession of the ball, nonetheless. Perhaps it was her "lightening fast soccer shoes!" (as she refers to them)!?

While this didn't result in a goal, she sure did have a lot of fun playing this time. And of course, that's what it's all about, isn't it?
