Picnic lunches at Ed's work, plenty of walks, bike rides, sand, slides, and swings....oh spring, we've waited sooo long for you!

"Who you calling 'wee one'?!"
Out for a bike ride and checking out the big kids in the school yard. (Soon darling, soon...)
Alex's first time on a swing! Weeeee!
This swing is so much fun I think I'll eat it! Weeeee!
Name that expression!
This look on her face makes me laugh. She's trying sooo hard to get the 'pumping' manoeuvre down. (Clearly it's so, so difficult!)
...getting better...
And, thanks Bella, thanks for drawing on mommy's van. I can't wait for the day when the words 'wash me!' will accompany a drawing like this. (It won't be long now...)
And, finally, after years of Ed hanging on to a box of 25 year old comic books that were given to him with the hopes that his children would one day love them as much as he did when he was a kid...well folks, I'm happy to report that that day has finally arrived. Hallelujah! (Yes Mark, in case you're wondering, this is the same box of comic books you gave us just before you left Ottawa.)
Each night for the past 4 days, Bella's bedtime story has been replaced by a classic comic book of her choice. She admits that doesn't understand most of what her daddy is reading to her, but it doesn't matter, she is focused and she is intense, and she loves every single minute of it. Almost as much as Ed does. And this pleases her father so, so much.
