Fasten those seatbelts!

I know Alejandro is only 4 1/2 mos old, but he has entered the stage where he's beginning to learn and do so much at such a rapid pace. Life is about to go into overdrive, I'm afraid. Better buckle up!

Learning the basics of the jolly jumper. Rule #1: Bare Feet.
Oooh!!! I want to chew on those thighs!

Rule #2: Stare at your feet and begin to understand that you have control over them.

Alex still isn't quite getting it yet, so big sister has a heart-to-heart with him.

She then decides she just wants to make him laugh!

Then she decides that it would be much better to show him!
"You see Alex, you just jump like this, it's EASY!"

Ysabella will be 4 years old in a week and a half. Can you imagine that? 4 years old!!! Her birthday happens to coincide with kindergarten registration for this September. Even though she is beyond ready to go to school, I am not (most days) ready for her to go to school. Case in point: Ysabella now participates in a drop off games & sports class at the local community centre for an hour and a half each week. The first class was was last Thursday. I stayed in the lobby for this first class, just to observe, see what they do, how she responds, etc. She did great and she of course, loved every minute of it. Me, on the other hand, I didn't do so great. I just about bawled as they lined up at the water fountain! The water fountain, people! Yes, I am now certain that I am going to be one of those mothers on her first day of school.

  1. As I am one of "THOSE MOMS", I tell you this: Yes, you will cry like a maniac. But, it gets easier and easier. (But is always a little bit sad). I went from having C all day, to gone all day, just like that! You can DO it!
