Weekend at the Cottage

This weekend we were fortunate enough to be invited to my dear friend Pascale's family cottage. (I was so very happy that Ysabella was well enough by Saturday morning that we were able to keep our plans to join them.) It's on Lake Gagnon in Quebec, just about two hours northeast of Ottawa. It was Ed's first cottage experience (he says they don't really have cottages in Victoria), and the bar was certainly set very high for him because it was the most amazing, relaxing, fun, beautiful, peaceful weekend. We stuffed ourselves silly with food and the kids played to their hearts content.

This is where we stayed! So beautiful, inside & out!
(The land was bought and the house was built by Pascale's mom, dad, and family over the past 15 or so years.)

Ysabella and Samuel couldn't wait to get into the lake to make mud pies...

...and Ed and Cory couldn't wait to enjoy a cold one on the beach!

Ed very quickly claimed this spot for a small part of the afternoon. Bella joined him...but only for about 5 minutes.

Me & Bella (and baby makes 3!) Can you tell how so very excied she is to be going for her first boat ride?

The gang gets ready for the ride. Pascale and I got to sit and relax (what's that?) on the beach for about 20 minutes while they did the tour.

Sam collects wood for the fire pit.

Mom gives Sam a helping hand.

The gang enjoys the sunset.

I cannot thank you enough Pascale & Cory for such an amazing weekend. xoxo

(A few more pics from day #2 to come tomorrow.)
