At only 3 years & 7 mos, Bella is now the big girl at daycare. All the other children that she started daycare with have since grown up and have gone off to school (although one of them, Henry, her favourite friend, may be returning in a couple of weeks. Bella couldn't be happier about that.) For a while, I thought her being the oldest may become an issue. I thought she may not be stimulated enough, or that she may get bored very easily. However, I now realize that it couldn't have come at a better time. She's learning how to act, how to be patient and how to play around babies, and she's become quite the little helper for Leticia, so I hear. She's very gentle and she's learning to share and be one very loving little girl when it comes to little babies. Given the fact that our new baby will be joining our family any day now, I think things have worked out for the best.
There's something so very cute to me about watching little children gather around a stroller with their daycare provider. (And for some reason, I now take note of every daycare provider I see walking around in my neighbourhood.) Every time I see Leticia walking with the children as they venture to playgroup or to the park, I can't help but watch them walk away until I can see them no more. Perhaps I love watching how well behaved they are when their with the daycare providers? Or perhaps I just love watching my child interact with other people. Either way, it intrigues me every time.
This is a snapshot from this morning as they headed off to the park on a perfect summer morning; not too hot, a beautiful breeze, and just a few clouds in the sky.
