Splashing around at Witty's Lagoon.

On Tuesday, Savannah and Colton's school (along with about 4 other schools) went to Witty's Lagoon for their annual end of the year Beach Day. We joined them and Ysabella had a blast!

The tide was out and the beach stretched on forever. The ocean line was way out where the farthest people are in the photo.

At the ocean line:

Dan and Maria's house is just a short walk behind those trees above the bluff. Stunning.

Ysabella's favourite part was splashing around in the very warm tide pools. She spent close to 3 hours playing in them! The weather was warm, a sunny 20 C and the ocean breeze was minimal, which I hear is rare for this area. A perfect day, really.

Savannah plays park interpretor and teaches me about the crabs. Thanks for the lesson!

Mmmm, tasty....

Dan & Ed enjoying some sun and some R&R. And look at all those kids! Bella really was in heaven.

Splashing really, really hard!

Ysabella borrows the dumptruck from the little boy who was next to us. Yep, she's a bit of a tomboy.

Playing in the sand. And what's a day at the beach without finding a tonne of sand in her bum when the diaper came off? We had a bit of a bath in the tide pool before getting in the car at the end of the day.

Colton and Nick introduced us to the cool sport of skimboarding. Hours of fun!
