Spring means rain...

The last few days have been much, much easier with Bella. Dare I say that they've even been a pleasure?? Does that mean that we just went through a phase? Could very well be. I'll keep you updated, and I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Spring is here, and spring means rain. Rain means puddles. And rain and puddles mean raincoats and rubber boots. Now, I don't buy Bella a lot of clothes (yes, Ed may argue this point), but sometimes I just can't resist the cute, cute stuff that is available for little girls these days. Here is one such purchase, a spring coat and hat and rubber rain boots. (I'd like to thank Pascale for introducing me to this store. I love it!) I couldn't contain myself and ended up buying Ysabella a few items (necessary, of course!) for spring and summer...

Hamming it up in the car. Are you guys getting tired of seeing Bella make this same silly face yet? ;)

At our friends' place this weekend. Bella had fun watching Nikki the dog being silly outside. I caught the tale end of it (too late again!) but she was giggling soooo hard when Nikki first started doing it.

And one final, funny story. Bella went to bed late last night. After about an hour of her being her usual good, quiet self in her crib, softly talking to herself, singing, and doing what she normally does at bedtime, Ysabella decided she wanted to get our attention.

We heard: "Papa, I have a wet bum!" She repeated it again and again, each time getting louder and louder. "Papa, I have a wet bum!" "Papa, I need a fresh bum!" "Papa!" "I need a fresh bum, please!"

Then it was, "I need my suckie!" 'Mama, I need my suckie, now!" "Mama, I nnneeeed my suckie!" "I need my suckie, mummy!"

Then, she proceeded to say: "Papa, I need some leche!" (spanish for milk.) "Mama, I'm thirsty!" "I need some leche from a big girl cup!" "Plllleeeasssee!, I need some leche!"

After being quiet for a moment (and still not getting our attention), we heard, and almost peed our pants with laughter, "Papa! I have bougars!" "Papa! I have bougars, and I need a kleenex!" "I have to wipe my nose!" "Papa, I have bougars!"

Needless, to say, she won. We wanted to eat her up, afterall!!! Up we both went, and yes, we changed her diaper, gave her some leche, wiped her nose, and gave her the suckie. Then she settled back down and finally fell asleep. And for the record, she went to bed tonite without any problem. (Glad to not have the repeat of last night, wouldn't want to make that a habit!)
