Kian came by for a visit Monday evening and he brought his parents Mark and Tanya with him. We had a Happy Monday! mini-dinner party and Ysabella was so happy to see a fellow little person that she could hardly contain her excitement. She laughed and giggled at Kian as he babbled and tried to crawl (to his dismay he could only make himself go backwards and into funny yoga poses). That's fantastic, considering Bella was 3 1/2 months
older than Kian is now before she accomplished some of the same tasks. It's amazing to watch the developmental differences among different children of relatively the same age. Every child goes at their own pace, that's for sure! Now, if Kian gets up and starts walking this week we'll
know it's just because Bella is a stellar teacher!!!
"I'm sooo excited that you're here, Kian! What? You wanna hug me? Okay!"

"No, no, this is how you crawl....watch
me!"

"Now pay attention. First you put both hands down on the ground, then you support your upper body with both arms....."

Just as Tanya said, at 8pm (literally, on the dot!!!) Kian went from moving and shaking in his mommy's arms to an absolute dead sleep. Just like that, in about 5 seconds! I've never seen anything like it.

Speaking of sleep...a shot of Bella napping today. She usually just falls over/folds over into a big baby heap, but she fell asleep kinda, sorta laying down today. Notice the not one, but
two! suckies. One in her mouth and one in her hand. Always like that at sleeptime. Now that she's comfy and happy at the daycare provider, we'll be nipping this pacifier habit in the bud pretty soon. It's just so darn cute when she feels the need to switch from sucking on one pacifier to the other. They're exactly the same! She obviously doesn't seem to think so, though.

And finally, one last walking video, for all of our far away family. Bella misses you all! xo
(p.s. I don't always dress my child mis-matched like this! Really bad contrasting colours, I know! Adds character!?!)
