I hope Spring is on it's way...if I haven't already mentioned it, this last snow storm sent me over the edge! I'm not one to embrace the winter, as many of you know, and I've had just about enough of this cold white stuff!
The snowbanks at the front of people's houses and along the streets are like nothing I've ever seen, some as high as 12 feet. There's no parking on the streets around our house because there's no room to be had! It's all taken up by the snow that was shoveled from people's driveways and walkways, not to mention the snow that was cleared/plowed from the streets themselves. When all this melts, where will it go?? Hopefully
not into our basement! We've already reached our flood quota for this year, thank you very much!
Some follow-up pics post March 8th blizzard. This winter is one I'm sure we'll remember for our whole lives, so I'll have to get some better photos.
Remember, Ed's 6 feet tall and the
new snow was up to just past his knees. Here he is all bundled up to go ask the neighbour to borrow his snowblower. My hubby is one smart fella. It probably saved his back.

Our car is under there...somewhere! The 'smart' guy who owns the house in the background thought he'd get an early start Sunday morning. He cleaned his car off and tried to head out around 8am. He got as far as the front of my house, about 25 feet! He got stuck not once, but twice! It took him about 30 min to get back into his driveway, and that was with help! What was he thinking? The street wasn't even plowed yet!

Not the best perspective from the street. The photo does not do it justice. But trust me, this snow is deep!

So I know you all don't check the blog to be updated on the weather conditions in Ottawa. Back to Bella. We stopped by to visit her friend Sydney today. And they have 3 doggies. Ysabella avoided these two rambunctious little ones (Oscar and Zoe practically licked her to death!) and gravitated towards the bigger and more calm Labrador Retriever (sorry, no pics of Marley!).

Ysabella says: "Oooh! A new dolly! Those fingers look sooooo enticing!" And then she proceeded to gnaw on them!

With chompers like mine (hey, if I can't poke fun at myself, then who can??), Ysabella's gotta learn how to brush her teeth. Here we are practicing.
