Halloween. (Finally.)

Now that we're well in to December, what better time to do a Hallowe'en post?! (I know, I know!)

Ysabella went from wanting to be a bride to wanting to be a superhero (Miss Marvel to be exact...good luck finding a kid-appropriate Miss Marvel costume!), to wanting to be a mummy, and finally deciding on wanting to be a vampiress. Without the fangs. Because those are too scary and uncomfortable to wear. Oh, and without a lot of makeup because she's allergic to it and it makes her skin itchy. So she tells me. (She's not allergic, but she insisits that she is.)

"This is my evil smile, mom!"

The trial costume that she wore to a Halloween party.

Alex scoops up the fangs in 3 seconds flat!

Bella made a 'scary hat' that she wanted me to wear. It was too small.  (LOVE the skeletons!)

Alex wore the dragon costume Tia Maria sent him for his birthday. He didn't wear the pants, and he didn't wear the costume for very long, but he wore it long enough for me to be able to snap these photos. (Love his little tail!)

There was NO WAY Alex was going to put on his Halloween costume again. He actually waved his finger from side to side in front of my face numerous times while simultaneously repeating "No mommy, NO!".  I've learned to pick my battles, so Alex went trick or treating as 'Alex'. It was a short walk for him and he received  just a handful of candy, some of which he enjoyed picnic-style in his jammies with mommy when he got home.

A fork is safer than a knife, right?

Bella, hard at work.
This year's final product.
