The Fruit of Ed's Labour.

Just before Christmas, when Ysabella was in her Thomas prime, we decided to buy her a pretty big Thomas set of tracks and trains. Discounted. It was still outrageously expensive, but we figured it would be well worth it given how long she plays with the exact same set at the Chapter's by our house. And hopefully, she'll be able to give it to her own kids one day.

Then we realized we still had to buy a train table. The Thomas brand train table price varies online from $170 to almost $500, depending on which you choose, and some of those don't even come with the table top! Ridiculous. Now, we all know that I don't have a creative bone in my body. However, Ed, using that right side of his brain, decided that he was going to build Bella a train table. And it turned out beautifully! (Who said he wasn't handy?!) While we had to postpone giving it to her for Christmas, it was finished in time to give it to her yesterday for her birthday. She woke up from her nap all sleepy but when she saw papa's gift she was so happy!

The final product:

Ed, ever so delighted to be in the photo.

Bella, after her nap, with face paint, bouffant hair, and a great big smile on her face!

Exploring her new toy.

So, what are you waiting for? Come on over for a playdate!
