Halloween 2009

Grrrr! That's the sound that Ysabella made yesterday while she was in costume. She went trick or treating dressed up as a tiger. Not because it was what she so desperately wanted to be, but because it was the costume that we had, a hand-me down from a friend, just begging to be worn. It worked out fabulously because she loves tigers! (Everytime we drive down Walkley road she makes a 'grrr' sound because she knows we'll be driving by the huge Giant Tiger store and she loves the huge pictures of the tigers on the side of the building.)

Can you just hear her saying "Grrrr!"?

Thanks to her light-up-when-she-walks-Dora-shoes and her dragonfly lantern (from gramma!) she was the safest trick-or-treater in the neighourhood!

Look mama! I have a tail!

First stop, our neighbour Eva's house. (The tiger head was too heavy and bothersome after the first house!) It wasn't long before Bella got really comfortable rummaging through people's candy...

and walking in their house!(p.s. No worries, this is our friends' house.)

Hmmm, where to next?

This is soooo much fun!

Back at home and time to check out the results. And this was after Ed asked me (almost accusingly, if you can believe it!) if we did the entire street! Really? Do we need more candy??
DEEELICIOUS!

Still eating the sucker, but the sugar high has already begun!

This went on and on and on and on......
and on...
and on...
for about 2 hours. Seriously. (She crashed hard and actually slept in this morning!)

At the end of the night, checking out each other's candy-coloured tongues.

This year's pumpkin. More photos on that to come tomorrow.
We hope everybody had a wonderful Halloween!
