Suffering

We are barely making it though yet another illness in the Rama household. While Ysabella and I are at the tale end of this cold, Ed is just starting to feel yucky. You know, the usual sinus congestion, cough, headache, sore throat, and for the little one, this includes the usual super-snotty nose. (Don't you just love the word snot? It sounds exactly like it is...super- gross!) We're going through boxes and boxes of Puff's with lotion. At one point, Ysabella would see me with a Kleenex and run (ok, crawl, but crawl really, really fast) the other way! Since she's been feeling better I don't have to chase her down as often. Now if I could just get rid of my own dry, hacking (and not very attractive, I might add!) cough. Hopefully all 3 of us will sleep like babies tonite.

Now that her nose isn't as runny and I'm not so intimidating with my Kleenex in hand, Ysabella is perfectly fine to show off for the camera her recently acquired nose-blowing skills (note the full size tissue to start out with...) And yep, that's me still in my super comfy plaid pyjamas...Ysa has also recently learned that she is able to tear paper, kleenex, tissue paper, toilet paper..........
into smaller and smaller pieces...
She also learned that she can spread them all over the house!
Did I mention the fact that she can tear the tissue into really, really small pieces??? (Notice her intense concentration! "I know I can make them smaller, I know I can make them smaller!")

Showing me that she can blow her nose with the smaller piece of kleenex too. Now that's genius, I tell ya! ;)
I'm off to work for the next four, so this post has got to last for at least the next five days. Here's a few more pics to hold you over until then.

Ysabella is very, very mobile now. She cruises around the house holding on to walls, appliances, chairs, you name it. Here she is being way too quiet in the kitchen. I snuck up behind her, and this is the look she gave me. It's her "I didn't do anything....yet!" look. She's been giving it more and more frequently.

BTW, Ysa took 3 steps all on her own yesterday!! I think walking may be on the horizon.
Motoring around the house.
Happy 2nd Birthday to Ysabella's boyfriend Charley! xoxo
(p.s. I felt way better yesterday than I do today. I'm soooo sorry if little man gets this cold, or you or Chris for that matter...)
