Our little water baby.

Ysabella is growing like a weed before our very eyes. There are times when both Ed and I look at her and we think how different she looks from one moment to the next...literally. We can't believe how the days, weeks, and months are flying by. Today was one of those days. We were playing just after she woke up when I snapped this photo. She looks so big to me! Everything about her, from her size to the expression that's on her face. Maybe it's because she's propped up sitting in the chair playing. Or maybe it's because she is indeed bigger than she was yesterday. And I just can't seem to take enough photos of her! (Though I think Ed would beg to differ, he bought a whole other external hard drive exactly for this reason...)
As much as I'm fighting it, I know that Ysabella has to grow up. Boohoo! :( Sob, sob! I really do have to keep reminding myself how much fun it is to see her grow and learn new things. So, what better day than today to bring up the highchair to the dining room so she can start getting used to sitting in it with us during mealtimes. (She's still nursing exclusively, no big person food just yet...) We had a lovely Father's Day Breakfast, and even though she lasted only about 5 min before she started to cry, it was nice to have her there right next to us.
It's been an amazing weekend with lots of sun, sun, sun! Ysa is proving to be a real little fish, which makes her daddy (a true Pisces) very proud! In addition to loving her baths, we also found that she really likes the swimming pool too. Our pool is now a balmy 30-ish degrees celsius, (87-ish degrees farenheit) thanks to our solar blanket being on the pool over the past week...and so the water is finally warm enough that we were able to take the little lady in it today.

First things first. Before getting in the pool, Ysa modeled for her daddy her very first 'itsy bitsy teeny weeny green, red & white bikini'. (Thanks to cousin Jacob!) I think we both laughed for about 5 minutes, it was so darn cute. And those legs...ooohhh! I could eat them up! Then it was playtime in the pool (with lots of sunscreen of course) with her daddy, afterall, it is Father's Day!

I just realized that she looks so serious in all these photos, but she really did have a good time! She was just thinking "Man this is the biggest bathtub I've ever seen!!"

  1. Look at those chubby legs!! Good work, mama. When Charley's cold clears up we'll be over for swimming fun.
