20 weeks down, 20 weeks left to go! I had my morphology ultrasound on September 20th, at which point I was either 18 weeks +4 days or 19 weeks + 5 days, depending on which opinion I follow...I wa
s given two of them, one was calculated using the day I ovulated (due date Feb. 16th), and the other was based on my first ultrasound (due date Feb. 9th). Anyhoo, all is fantastic with baby and I, and daddy-to-be. Baby is moving around lots, is in footling breech position right now, likely because the head isn't heavy enough yet to help it turn around the right way...a few more weeks and we should see him/her flip...hopefully. He/she weighed in at an estimated fetal weight (via ultrasound measurements) of 316 grams, almost the weight of a can of soda. Baby also has all vital parts (a stomach, 2 kidneys, a bladder, a lovely heart, 10 little fingers and toes, and as for genitalia, yes, it has some (phew!) but we opted to not find out the sex of the baby). Oh, it also has a beautiful brain, fully intact....I asked the ultrasound technician if she could tell if the baby was a genius, she said if she could she'd be rich!Kitchen Renovations have offically started...it's like Ed and I are camping! We plan to be without a kitchen for the next 3 weeks or so...hopefully we won't run into any major problems in the meantime. Our pool is empty and without a liner as we wait for the new one to be installed at the end of this week just in time to close the pool for the winter. On a lighter note, Ed is off to see Eric Clapton tomorrow evening... free of charge
box seats courtesy of Ben and Aidan, he's quite excited!
