In addition to learning this song while papa was getting ready for work this morning, Bella has been walking around the house this past week saying: "Still so much to do" and "I'm sooo tired". Geez, I wonder where she got that from. It makes me laugh.
Yesterday, we finally made it to Billings Bridge to see Santa Claus. (They say he's the best Santa in town!) Much better than last year's Santa (see Dec. 14th, 2007 post.) She really didn't like the jolly ol' man with the white beard, I wasn't surprised, and I don't blame her. I really struggled with the idea about whether or not to take her. After all, she's only 22 mos old and of course, she really has no idea who the big man in the red suit is. Let's be serious, I'm totally aware that taking a child that young is completely for the adult's amusement, not the child's. (But I took her anyways. Does that make make me a horrible mother??) She didn't scream, though, thank goodness! (I would have felt really guilty if she did.) She did, however, cling on to me for dear life. So, Santa had to sneak up behind her while we tried to distract her from him in order to take the picture.
Bella much prefers to see Santa Claus this way...via the internet. A much more distant location. Check out this link so that Santa can speak to your own children directly. (Very cool idea.)
Off to work tomorrow.
Wishing everybody a very Merry Christmas!
