Happy Birthday Uncle Kenny.

We're a few days late, but we wanted to send out birthday wishes to Kian in Victoria, BC (it was his 1st!), and to Uncle Kenny, who turned the big 4-0 on the 21st. We hope everybody had a blast celebrating.

Bella's favourite book of lately is called Once Upon A Potty. Auntie Amy kept Jacob's old book for all these years and has since passed it on to Bella. Apparently cousin Jacob loved it when he was her age too. Mind you, the book Bella has is a bit more worn and a slightly older version than the book below, but nevertheless, she loves it! We read it numerous times a day. She's really getting to know all the 'boy parts' of little Joshua's body! I think it's time we pick up the Once Upon a Potty for Girls, otherwise she may start looking for body parts on herself that she just isn't going to find!While we're not hard-core potty training yet, Bella often tells me just after she's done the deed. So, we've got not one, but two potties on the go. We're not pushing the issue. We figure that one day, when she's ready, she'll let us know before the deed is done. For now, she often just takes a seat, so to speak. Today, she used the potty that sits over top the big person toilet. (Genius idea, BTW!) Well, she didn't actually use it, she just sat on it. And she picked up a magazine while she sat. (However, there was no Esquire within arms reach, so she had to settle for lesser quality reading material as she read up on Patrick Swayze's health condition in People magazine. Hardy-har-har!)

Finally, a video from Bella for Uncle Kenny. Happy Birthday to You! (Although it sounds like she's saying "Happy doodle-do". I think she's getting confused with "Happy Birthday to You" and what a rooster says, "Cock-A-Doodle-Do". Ah well, not bad for not practicing. And she says "Bye, Baby" because she knew she was going to get to see the video of the baby (herself) when we were finished taping. (She loves watching videos of herself and saying hi and bye to 'the baby'. She calls the baby "Baby Bella!"...hilarious.)
