Oh no! Snow!

It was bound to happen sooner or later...the first snowfall has arrived in our nation's capital. And as much as I'm not a snow lover (anybody who knows me knows this), I have to say it was quite lovely waking up to it this morning. All of a sudden I'm in a very Christmas-y kind of mood and I'm wishing that I was one of the smart people that hung the outdoor Christmas lights when it was sunny and +10 outside. Oh well, maybe next year?!

Since Ysabella was too young to remember the snowfall from last winter, here's some photos of her looking out of the window this morning, wondering what the heck all this white stuff is...




And lately, Ysabella has been Miss Independent. She thinks she's a big girl now, wanting to feed herself at every meal. Sheesh. She hasn't quite got the hang of tilting the cup up to her mouth yet... Feeding herself pieces of banana. The tricky part is getting the food to her mouth, but she's getting better at it.

I'm off to listen to some Christmas music....
