HAPPY 2007!!!

Happy 2007 from Ottawa! Ed & I rang in the New Year (me very soberly) at Ben & Aidan's Casa Redondo a.k.a their newly purchased 'Round House' on about 50 acres about 40 min outside of Ottawa. The house is very unique and very cool, it really is round with the kitchen in the middle of the house and the remainder of the rooms around the outside. As we found out, it's a great place to socialize/have parties and to people watch (especially if you're sober!). We had a wonderful time with the entire Burgess clan and their friends as we listened to Ben's collection of LP's all night long (I actually forgot that you have to 'flip' the record over to hear the 2nd side...so nostalgic!!). Why the hats you ask? Apparently it was also a 'hat' party, but we were accidentally left out of the loop....not to worry, Ben found one for Ed to wear anyways...Ed drank the last of his spiced rum and cokes for 2006 and even tried raw oysters for the first time. A fun time was had by all! I've included some pics of the night, I think it's possible to see in one of them just how round the house really is! Happy New Year to all of our family & friends!!
